Clifftop Chora village 200m above the Aegean. The Folegandros nobody had heard of in 2018 and everyone now has. No airport; ferry from Santorini (1h) or Milos (1.5h). Tiny population, three streets, the great escape from the Mykonos-Santorini circuit.
When to go
From the 2026 climate study, not the live forecast.Same Cycladic rhythm as Santorini — May, June, September, early October. The meltemi wind funnels through the village in July-August. No real beach in the village itself; the bus to Agios Nikolaos beach is a 45-min walk down (or a small fishing boat). Best Greek-island Chora-and-cliffs experience at a fraction of Santorini prices.
