The east coast (Trincomalee, Arugam Bay) flips — dry May–September. March is the bookended best month for either coast (inter-monsoon, sea 28°C). The Galle–Mirissa coast hits 31°C with 28°C sea in peak dry. Always cover Buddha tattoos.
